The sound of the shofar is more than a blast of a ram’s horn. It is a cry from the depths of the soul, echoing through time and space as a call to awaken in the Spirit. It pierces the silence like a war cry to heaven, stirring hearts, shaking spirits, and drawing us back to the God who never stopped calling. In ancient days, it announced the presence of God on Mount Sinai. It signaled battle, freedom, and repentance. Today, it still carries that same weight of Glory reminding us that we are not forgotten, that heaven still draws near, and that now is the time to return, to remember, to arise.

 

The shofar is a voice beyond words. It speaks in tones our hearts understand when our minds cannot find language. It is both a trumpet of victory and a tearful plea for mercy. It humbles us and lifts us all at once, calling us to reflect, to release, and to remember who we are in God’s eyes. When the shofar sounds, we are reminded that the God of Abraham still moves, still calls, and still redeems. It is the sound of covenant, of repentance, of hope; and it reverberates not only through the air, but through the very depths of our being.

War Cry

There are moments in life when we feel parched. Our hearts are weary, our souls drained, our spirits yearning for something more. We search for fulfillment in the world, in success, in relationships... Yet nothing seems to quench the deep thirst within us. But God, in His infinite love, is the wellspring that never runs dry. He is the source of Living Water, flowing within us, ready to refresh and restore us if we only turn to Him. His presence is not distant or unreachable; it is alive within our very being, waiting for us to drink deeply of His love.

In our darkest seasons, when pain and uncertainty cloud our path, God remains constant, His love like an underground river sustaining us even when we cannot see it. He does not withhold His presence from the brokenhearted, nor does He forsake those who feel unworthy. Like a hidden spring in the desert, He rises within us, reviving our weary souls and filling the emptiness with His boundless peace. Even in our weakest moments, His strength surges through us, reminding us that we are never alone, never abandoned.

When we surrender to God, we discover that His wellspring of life is not just for us but flows through us to others. His love overflows, touching the lives of those around us, bringing healing, hope, and renewal. As we drink from His living waters, we become rivers of grace, carrying His presence into a world desperate for meaning. Through Him, we are not empty vessels, but wells brimming with divine purpose, forever filled by the One who is life itself.

I sat with this piece for about a week asking the Lord what He wanted me to say concerning it, and all He said was, "Let Me speak through you today." And He gave me this song. 

So that's all I have for you today, and it is enough. 💖

Lift me Up

Service and discipleship represent the heart and soul of faith in its purest form. They are the embodiment of Christ’s teachings on humility and community where ordinary people come together to live out extraordinary acts of love. These movements are essential because they connect believers not through grand institutions, but through shared struggles, personal stories, and a deep, authentic desire to follow Christ’s example. Grassroots Christianity is where the gospel truly comes to life—on the streets, in homes, and in everyday acts of kindness and compassion. It reminds us that the strength of the Church is not in its size or influence, but in the countless lives quietly touched by those willing to serve, to care, and to uplift one another. It is here, in the margins, that the Holy Spirit is most powerfully felt, reminding us that true faith is lived, not simply preached.

Grassroots

Our God is the adventure of a lifetime. He intricately weaves people in and out of our lives, dancing and swaying alongside each other to form an infinite tapestry of His glory. Every day is fresh and new as His breath fills our lungs and His creative spirit meets our fragile hearts. There is no sweeter love than His!

At first, I wondered why I felt led to paint a Highland Cow. As I pulled up my reference photos, I heard, "My Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills."

In the midst of the shaking, everything belongs to the Lord. In the midst of uncertainty, we are still HIS. 

He is great and mighty to be praised. He is extravagant in giving and lavish in love. 

We are kept safely and securely by the God who holds it all. This is His promise to us today. 💖

The vision that Joseph interpreted for Pharaoh depicted sickly cows for famine and fat, healthy cows for abundance. God showed me a beautiful, healthy Highland Cow. We receive the abundance straight from Your throne, Lord!

I haven't been able to paint for the last few weeks. I was pulled suddenly into a season of inner healing, dealing with the tumult of trauma responses and racing thoughts. But finally, breakthrough came, and the dawn began to creep over the horizon. I breathed deeply into His presence like the fresh aroma of a warm, healing tea... His Living Waters beckoning me to drink deeply of Him and know that it will all be okay. 

And now, at last, it is. All is well within the world of our Savior. 💖

"Dance Upon Adversity" was a really emotional piece for me. 

I'm a second generation abuse survivor. My mother danced as a child. My father, a tyrant and abuser, had a fascination with rhinos and collected the figurines throughout my childhood. This piece represents my mother, myself, and every generation after us breaking the generational curses of abuse, oppression, poverty, and every other weight that has been on our family's shoulders. It is a representation of taking the tough and the ugly that life has given us and dancing in joy anyway. Here's to my mother, myself, and all of the matriarchs of change within so many family lines, those that Dance Upon Adversity.

Dance Upon Adversity

To be adopted into the Beloved is to be swept into the heart of God’s infinite love. A love that chose you, redeemed you, and calls you His own. Adoption into His family is not a mere formality but a declaration of belonging to a relationship marked by grace and intimacy. You are no longer an outsider, no longer defined by past failures or rejection, but a cherished child of the King, sealed with His Spirit and held in His everlasting embrace. In this sacred belonging, you are not merely tolerated, but celebrated, welcomed into the eternal fellowship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You are extended a constant invitation to trust, surrender, and rest in the simplicity of His love. A child comes without pretense, carrying no burdens too great for the Father’s arms to bear. In this childlike approach, you find freedom— to laugh, to cry, to ask, and to simply be. In coming to Him as a child, you experience the depth of His care. He is a Father who knows your every need and longs to lavish you with His goodness. 

As a child of God, we have access to the light of His presence, where every step is guided by His wisdom and every tear is held in His hands. When we feel overwhelmed, He whispers, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God" (Isaiah 41:10). You are never alone; His Spirit dwells within you, empowering and comforting you in every season. The promise of His faithfulness sustains you, and the hope of His eternal Love gives you the courage to persevere.
