Expanded media & multidisciplinary artist from central Oklahoma, based in Southwestern Oklahoma. Finishing up Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree. Artist Statement: I’ve always been interested in the way that people are made up of all these little parts; spinning wheels and strings pulling and all, behind the curtains of skin and smiles and thoughts and social awareness and taxes. We’re all made of these small moving parts, all coming together to form one, big moving part. It's a weird, complicated, fantastic, disgusting flesh machine that interacts with other flesh machines: people. People. I like to look at the parts and compare them to the whole to understand how we feel. So that’s why I make art, to understand all these weird little things, and to help others understand their weird little things too. Because I’d like to illustrate the moments of overlap that we all share; I like to spend hours and hours breaking things and putting them back together so someone else can come look at it and think “Hm, I feel like that sometimes.”
