31x31” multi-mixed media, relief, texture, oil pens and sealants in a mixed media over metal floating frame: Ready to hang.. I spent my formative years in the beautiful Mt Hood wilderness of Oregon until I joined the U.S. Army at 19, I spent most of my youth in that forest in George until 1998. Now living in Oklahoma since my medical discharge in 2003, I often reflect on my childhood at Eagle Fern Park. This artwork represents my escape from reality and serves as a safe space grounded in memories. Over the next year, I will share more pieces that evoke many of our collective childhood experiences and transform them into my own.
